ABSTRACT: This presentation begins with a brief identification of the international human rights norms which may be violated when a government engaged in arbitrary killings.Second there is a review of the measures which international organizations have taken to deal with arbitrary or summary executions, including the activities of the Human Rights Committee, Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, European Commission on Human Rights, International Labour Organization, UNESCO and the United Nations.Third, there follows a discussion of the usefulness of three techniques for dealing with arbitration killings : publicity and aid to victims or their families and technical assistance to government.

ABSTRACT: A common form of discrimination against women in employment and occupation relates to marital status, representing a particular aspect of discrimination based on sex and one, moreover with regard to which allegations abound and facts are scarce.Given the increasingly large numbers of married women in the work force and the importance of their contribution to economic and social development, it is useful to examine this rather negative aspect of their employment in its current context to see what can be done, not only to combat discrimination in employment and occupation against married women, but also in a positive way to come to grips with the practical problems which their employment involves.The following is an article synthesising the findings of a recent ILO survey on the subject.
