Even if the events in Chile has not reached the front pages recently, the continuation of the regime of the military junta and the violations of human rights are still objects for international interest.Thanks to international pressure and solidarity work, the military junta has had to reduce the use of open terror.The author also gives a report of the work of the International Chile Commission and the UN investigations of the crimes of the junta. The international commission investigating the crimes of the military junta in Chile met for an extended secretariat meeting in Helsingör, Sweden, on December 7-9, 1979.Twenty members from 12 countries met with a Chilean delegation.
