Förf. redogör först för regler om frihetsberövande i internationella överenskommelser och därefter för regler om frihetsberövande i nationell rätt.Artikeln slutar med en undersökning av förhållandena i Sverige. The writer begins by stating that according to the UN Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, no one should be arrested or imprisoned unwarrantably, and deprivation of liberty may be carried out only in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law (article 9).The author discusses the provisions concerning deprivation of liberty in international law.The article concludes with a presentation of a research on the situation in Sweden.
